Your Home Away From Home
Us at a Glimpse
We are located in quaint, yet vibey Dunkley Square, in Gardens Cape Town, embraced by
heritage buildings housing restaurants, an eclectic mix of shops and residences.
Our guests tell us that when they step into our out-of-town safari-feel lobby, there’s a sense
of welcoming calm and warmth, and that they feel at home immediately. This is such a
delight to know as, iKhaya is isiXhosa for the house or the home. We want you to exhale and
relax, in your home away from home. To soak in the warmth of our care.
At our iKhaya we celebrate our African Heritage in colour and décor. We celebrate an
energy of self-love and generosity, and acknowledge the remarkable shoulders we stand on.
Icons of outstanding people of African descent pepper one of our walls, and bolder ones of
greats such as Mandela, Nkrumah and Biko, are complemented by the fun and vibrant
energy of Dolly Rathebe.
We’re proudly Pan African and our team reflects this, even as our music sings it. Come on
over. We’d love to have you stay, or delight in our space for your conference or event. See
you soon.
Standard Rooms
Our rooms are a standard size and reach out to the CreteStone plastered experience of lodges and homes a far distance from Cape Town. The eucalyptus rafters, wooden decked showers and balconettes are just the ticket to help you capture that out of town feel, while only ten minutes from the CBD.
Enjoy the unfettered view of Table Mountain and Lion’s Head from the mountain facing rooms, or soak in the peace of the city facing rooms. All rooms invite you to kick off your shoes, and flop onto the oh so comfortable beds… we’ll forgive you for sleeping in…
When you eventually wake up, breakfast is from 07:15am to 10:15am.
Don’t be shy, come hungry, then linger and enjoy.
