Although the call to ‘stay home to stay safe’ means that for now we cannot welcome you to your home away from home, we will be here when you can travel again. Your safety and comfort has always been our primary focus and we aim to offer nothing less in the future. Looking forward to seeing you soon
iKhaya means “the home” or “the house” in Xhosa. iKhaya Lodge is a unique African styled boutique hotel in the centre of Cape Town which has become world renowned for its warm welcome, stunning and authentic African design and its dramatic views of Table Mountain and the City Bowl. It is the ideal spot!
Dunkley Square is part of over 100 year old Dunkley Mews and is embraced by Heritage Buildings that add to the charm. Trendy restaurants and cafés are part of life on the square adding a genteel flavor to visitors of iKhaya Lodge. The quiet square creates a perfect backdrop to the safari feel at iKhaya, perfect for meetings and functions alike.
Our location offers ease to your Cape Town visit. Beyond Dunkley Square, Kloof and Long Streets are within easy walking distance as are Iziko Museums. 10 – 15 minutes’ drive away are the V&A Waterfront and the awe inspiring Zeitz Mocca Museum of Contemporary African Art, or beach fun on Camps Bay and Clifton Beaches. Jog to the Seapoint Promenade or into De Waal Park or The Company’s Gardens, in many ways, iKhaya will have you in the perfect spot.
Perched between the ocean and the mountain, with a national park as its heart, there is nowhere like Cape Town. Cape Town, the “Mother City”, is the oldest city in South Africa and has a cultural heritage spanning more than 300 years.
The unique topography of the region makes it easy to orientate oneself as long as you remember that with Table Mountain behind you and Robben Island before you, you are facing north, looking across Table Bay and up the west coast of Africa.
